Tenor, session singer, and composer based in Mumbai. Faculty at KM Music Conservatory. Available for recording sessions, vocal lessons, and live bookings — across India and remotely.
I'm a tenor, composer, and recording engineer based in Mumbai. My voice is rooted in Hindustani classical and shaped by Western classical training at KM Music Conservatory, where my voice was formally identified as a tenor and where I performed opera arias from The Magic Flute and Werther, alongside the lieder of Schubert and the art song of Poulenc.
I sing in Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Sanskrit, English, and the Italian, German, and French operatic repertoire. The tradition closest to me is qawwali, which I came to through Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and through years in KMMC's Sufi Ensemble.
For four years I worked as a recording engineer at A. R. Rahman's Mumbai studio, recording vocalists including Sukhwinder Singh, Shilpa Rao, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurti, Javed Ali, and Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, alongside Bombay's leading session musicians.
I currently teach at KM Music Conservatory's Mumbai campus — Studio Intensive (recording, mixing, and mastering across stereo, surround, and immersive formats) and Hindustani Classical Theory.
